Now that my other panel/actuator issues are solved (see my other thread!), moving on to getting my lighting working. The pool and spa lights are on a single relay, and the pool light works, but the spa doesn't. The spa is on a 12 VAC 100W transformer (pool is 12 VAC 300W), and voltage out of the transformer (Intermatic if that matters). The pool light used to just alternate between blue and purple on my old board when I did the on/off routine, but now with my new OmniPL it's cycling between several colors (haven't been able to figure out how to get it to turn on/off fast enough to change the routine). So the questions are 1. Can you identify the spa light model from those details and the pic? 2. Can the bulb be changed without having to run new wiring? (I really really really don't want to do that!) 3. How can I change the color routines of these lights? (I assume once I find out the answer to 1 I can search and find more info!). Thanks!

"Bulbs" cannot be changed in LED lights.
Hayward has different models with different capabilities. You will only find out which specific lights you have by removing the light from the niche and seeing what the label on it says.

That's not necessarily true. LED bulbs are used in traditional light fixtures in homes all the time.

Let me state it differently - pool LED lights are not manufactured with replaceable bulbs. If you have a pool LED light from Hayward that is color changing you will find it does not have a replaceable bulb.
Really? I know *some* aren't replaceable because I see all kinds of info about having to run new wiring. But I see tons of LED pool bulbs for sale. I just don't know which one I need, or if it's one that can't be replaced. Was just hoping someone could identify it without pulling it out, putting it back in, then pulling out again when I receive a new one.
And why do they make *any* that aren't replaceable? It's insane that they'd make you fish new wire for something that is guaranteed to need to be replaced at some point.

Those LED pool bulbs are made to retrofit into incandescent pool light fixtures.
No pool LED lights come directly with LED bulbs.
Yup, getting LED pool lights is signing up for an expensive replacement cycle.
Gotcha. Well here's to hoping mine is incandescent. I tried to pull it out but the screw is at the bottom and I couldn't get enough grip on the screwdriver while having to stretch out because it's so far down. Guess I'm going to have to drain it.
If that is a Hayward AstroLight II, as it appears to be, J&J made a 12V, color-changing, retro-fit bulb that is the proper size and may have been installed. The light originally came with halogen bulb installed. That's, basically, the only way to get a light with a replaceable LED bulb, regardless of size, buy an incandescent and replace the bulb.
