I have a Splash SuperPool with a 1HP Hayward pump and sand filter. The equipment is attached to the pool via 1.5” spiral wound hoses, similar to vacuum hoses, only more heavy duty. Each end of the hoses have an unusual swivel cuff/union type fitting. The hose is “screwed & glued” into one end of the fitting, with the opposed end being female pipe threads.
I was taking my pool down today (for the winter) and one of the hoses broke at the fitting. It was pretty cold outside (38 degrees), so I’m sure that let to the hose cracking.
SuperPools wants $60 plus tax & shipping for a new hose. They don’t sell just the fittings (isn’t that convenient).
Please take a look at my pictures and let me know if you recognize this fitting or have any low-cost suggestions.
