Calspa pump running even after shut off

I have an older Calspa tub. Recently had to replace the capacitors on the pump as the start capacitor stopped working. Now it will continuously run well past the set temp. Got to 109 today. I shut everything off for a few hours. Started it back up and set the temp to 98, tub was still at 107. Pump kicked itself on in jet mode. Pressed button to shut it off. Pump kept kicking itself back on. What could the issue be? Should be noted that the tub was overheating before the capacitor changing issue but I thought it was due to the start capacitor being bad so it had to run in jet mode for the pump to work.

Welcome to TFP.

Sounds like a stuck relay in the control pack.

@RDspaguy will probably have more thoughts when he wanders by.

Post pics of control system and circuit board so I can see what you've got in there.
Many control systems will engage high speed pumps in response to certain errors.
A stuck pump relay will cause the pump to run continuously in one speed, but sieze up, perhaps tripping breakers or blowing fuses, when you try to engage the other speed. If the low-speed relay is stuck on it will gradually overheat the spa.
A stuck heater relay will rapidly overheat the spa and immediately trigger an overheat if the pump turns off.
