Calcium test - zero?

When i do the calcium hardness test, the sample turns blue immediately. Don't do this test too often but when i did some 8 months ago, I've had to add calcium. When i plug zero into pool calculator it says add 48lbs of calcium. Really? Is there some other factor that's affecting this? I fairly recently switched to salt generator, any connection?

Maybe test error. Double check the procedure and make sure that you're using the correct reagents.

You might have the reagents mixed up.

Test your tap water to see what that shows.

Tried again, no difference. But, noticed that the reagents just expired. Going to get new ones and try again.
