Good morning,
My pool is one year old on Mother’s Day. I have a faint line starting. I live in southern Arizona, Tucson.
What has everyone done to help this?
I saw an oven mitt looking thing at pool store?

Thanks

Are you managing your CSI - Calcium Saturation Index? Keep it between -0.3 and 0.

Even with that, you will get calcium build up at the water line over time.

You minimize it by managing the CSI.

I find that I get a little more build up as I approach 800+ ppm CH. I typically exchange my water to fresh about that time. When I do, I keep the CSI negative and the majority of the scale gets dissolved back into the pool water.

Many here also use pumice stone or a mild acid solution and a stiff brush. Eye protection is paramount. If the scale gets bad enough, you can hire a service to kieserite blast.
