So, if Calcium hypochlorite liquid is regular bleach is Calcium hypochlorite crystals or powder also known as “refresh” ok to use?

Regular bleach is sodium hypochlorite.

Calcium hypochlorite is fine but will raise your CH level.

Regular bleach is Sodium Hypochlorite.

Refresh is 68% Cal-hypo, so for each 10 ppm FC you add, you also add 7 CH. If you need it or have room for it, fine. If you don't need the extra CH, then it's a bad choice.

Thank you. My CH is 250 and I would like to raise it. I added 5 pounds of CaCl but calcium levels did not seem to budge. I will try it!

250 CH is just fine. It will increase naturally, anyway.
