Hello. I'm finally going to buy a cyclone and close on my own. I listed the steps below. Does this sound correct to you? I read the resources on here and they're great, it's why I have the confidence to do it myself. I just want to confirm my specific set up & plan.
Equipment pad
- drain cartridge filter & replace cap at base of filter
- connect Cyclone to 1.5” fitting (currently has blue hose it, on right in pic)
- turn valves to stop air from going to skimmers
- turn on cyclone (air runs through filter, heater, to returns/main drain)
- plug returns then close valves to returns so air goes to main drain only
- air lock main drain by closing valve after bubbling for a minute or so
- remove heater plug
- turn valve to stop air from going to filter/heater
- air now going to suction side/skimmers
- plug the skimmers (turn off cyclone)
- remove the pump drain plugs
- disconnect Cyclone
- turn off circuit breaker
