Building skimmer box?

Hi All,

We are building a block pool and struggling with how to build the skimmer boxes. Does anyone have a good how-to or advice?

Does it need a bottom? A top? Does concrete go over it? My husband is outside attempting to figure it out, so I am just basically guessing on what the questions are. Basically, any advice at all would be appreciated!

Does he actually have a "store bought" skimmer or is he trying to make a skimmer out of blocks?

He has a store bought one. He’s just trying to build the box for pour concrete.

I think we got it - at least as best as I could figure hopefully tile will come out okay on it and this thing is solid for years to come.

Just make sure the skimmer is at the proper level in relation to the steps and final water level planned.
