Building in Houston!

All done today before the storms moved in! Decking next week and then plaster!

Kim - these were meshed backed. We haven’t seen many folks have the herringbone but figured we’d try it out!

The concrete folks must not have done many pours around herringbone before, after they left I took a pick and scratched out the concrete they spread in the wedges after wiping things down.. not alot but enough to notice and came off pretty easily. Otherwise it looks great!

Hoping tomorrow they grind the existing patio. PB says it’ll be ready to swim in by next Friday! Well c.

Need some help though, for the spray deck do folks typically go darker or lighter than the travertine coping??

Can y’all provide some suggestions??

I say lighter as I like the dark "outline" look. Can you also put the samples by MY stone on the spa so I can see the color there as well.

I do NOT like either of the ones on the left-yuck LOL

I am leaning towards bone white right now. Waiting to see it by the spa.

You at the same point we are with the deck poured and travertine plus pebble the last two things. We are stuck in a holding pattern waiting for the stone contractor to become available. We are looking at a late Feb finish.

Your pool looks great!

Thanks for the input everyone! I agree and really like bone white with the lighter color while my wife likes traditional tan.. looks like we’ll have to make a decision very soon.. [emoji29]

Plaster went in today.. we kept going back and forth between aqua blue, blue surf, and blue granite.. given the fact that there’s not a lot of structures creating shade, we opted for blue granite.

I’ll post a YouTube video later of the time lapse.. bc it’s still in process!

Traditional tan it is [emoji23]

Blue granite is perfect!

When it is time to fill put a sock or dish towel on the end of the house and put the hose right on the main drain or the lowest spot in the pool. Fill the spa last.

Above all else do NOT turn the water off!!!! It can cause a ring in that pretty, new plaster!!!
