I’m wondering if it’s normal to have a lot of air bubbles when you increase the pump speed. A little while after increasing the speed there’s no bubbles from the return jets and before I increase the speed there’s no air bubbles in the return jets. But once I turn the pump up I get a lot of bubbles and then it settles down and there’s no bubbles.

Yes mine does it too. If I run it on low speed, some bubbles might come out, but as soon as I turn it up, a big burst comes out. Bubbles get stuck in your plumbing and a stronger flow pushes them through. To test this, try lighting the bubbles as they break the surface. If they "pop", they are hydrogen and come from the SWG.
