Broken Ball Valve Replacement.

Can you post a pic of the equipment pad and the broken valve? Is your equipment above the pool water level? If so then it is not an issue. When you replace it, use a Jandy NeverLube instead.

The valve is at or just below the water level. I have added a few pictures. Thank you!

"At" - "or below" makes a difference. "At" you are fine. Below, you may need to drain to that level to change the pipe. You need to determine how much below the water level it is, if at all. I don't think this is too much of an issue. Worst case you drain some water. You only need to go to the level of the pipe when you cut it.

My just-below-level pool pad unfortunately lacks shutoff valves. To work on the plumbing, I first open the filter air valve to let air in so the water inside lowers. Then the filter water won't drain out. Second, I plug both my skimmers to keep the pool water in the pool. Then I can work without flooding the area.
