Broke an umbrella hole trying to remove the cap... Now what...

I broke the cap and flange trying to get the cap to unscrew... there is nothing to grip now, how would you suggest I pull out the remaining flange sleeve so I can put a new one in...

Ok managed to determine it was just the cap and flange that exploded luckily. Managed to get the rest of the flange out with a hacksaw and flathead screwdriver.

Crisis averted!
