Blank canvas in Laughlin, NV.

Working on deck steps and just learned that I need to have them 36" wide so that I will not need railings. Can anyone confirm
that steps become landings after 36"? I thought it was 24". Anyway, not a major problem, but some more physical labor for yours truly!:hammer:

This is what I got when I googled "steps vs landing size":

"A flight of stairs shall not have a vertical rise greater than 12 feet (3658 mm) between floor levels or landings. The width of each landing shall not be less than the stairway served. Every landing shall have a minimum dimension of 36 inches (914 mm) measured in the direction of travel."

See what else you can find but..................it looks like you some more work ahead of you

Good morning from Laughlin,NV.
Just a little update, had brother in laws who are both electricians out last week and they ripped apart some
of my ideas. (Shouldn't have an outlet on the firepit, need more extra conduits, more lights!, etc.)
Anyway, been working on getting irrigation and electric figured out, found some trees at Sam's club for only $28/each. Next on the agenda is finishing the framing of the planters and steps to the deck.
Hoping to get the deck poured by end of next month...For now enjoy these two pictures...lol

Kinda where we are at right now...

Now, I'm off to Home Depot for some bricks, pipes and emotional help...

DUDE! You are nailing those steps!!! LOVE the shape you ended up with! I know it was hard but you did it!!!

So why no outlet on the firepit?? To me that would be the purrfect place for it.........but what do I know?? LOL

SCORE on the plants!! Will you add growing dirt in the planters to help them grow?

LOVE the pool building selfie!! Took me a while to figure out how you did it. Well done sir!

Hello once again. Bought/picked up all of our pool tile yesterday! Trying to figure out grout colors for waterline tile.
Have the grout inserts and keep changing them around, next to different tiles, in different lighting, each time
we pick the 2 we like. Then I mark the ones we like on the side. In a few months  we might get a grout color we agree with!
Anyway progressing a little bit, electrician was supposed to finish his stuff today but he had a family emergency. Might be done tomorrow...
As for the waterline tile blue ridgeline slate from npt was too blue for us by itself, the ridgeline multi color was too brown by itself so we're mixing them up!
The step marker tile is going to be brown/silver for spa, and blue for pool. Should have some pictures of that stuff later. Especially if I attempt to install it myself. :???:
Will be having some spa spillway questions to post pretty soon too...
