Black+Decker Turns On But Won't Run

I installed a 2HP B+D Variable pump this past summer and aside from me and the wife fighting over what an optimal schedule is for it - it ran great.

However, on Friday, it started powering on (lights up) - but doing nothing else. I even tried the "Quick Clean" mode and nothing.

Has anyone seen this pump do something like that?

I am following your post because I'm considering purchasing a B&D VS 3hp and want to see the outcome.. But a question first.
Have you removed power from the pump for 5 minutes or so (turned AC breaker off?)? A reboot if you would>

That was the solution. I did that and it started up just fine

dwmcqueen way to go. So give me a little feedback on your B&D pool motor. How long have you had it in service, and are you happy with it? I'm considering the 3HP.​
