I bought the outdoor timer. My thinking was if the power goes out they both go out. If the pump fails it would only be a day or two of a small amount of acid in the pipes with a back flow valve installed to keep it where it needs to stay. One day in the future when I switch to a variable flow pump I will seek out better automation.
Right now I couldn’t be happier with the current installation!! Free at last....free at last........

another byproduct is that my TA is now between 50-60. Which may also be contributing to the more stable PH.
