Baqua conversion and FC levels

Cleaning them is not likely sufficient after a Baqua conversion. Our recommendation is to replace them once the Baqua goo is gone.

Curious....would the same apply to replacing DE grids following a conversion? Or would just chemically cleaning them be sufficient?

How long did it take from start to finish? I've read here that most people elect not to do it during the swim season, but glad it worked for you. Might I ask why you decided to convert?

It was 5-6 days. We just couldn’t keep the algae off the walls and it was always slightly cloudy. Plus the Baqua chemicals are so expensive and went up even more this year!

Assume you're referring to white water mold? I've hardly ever had any problems - with chlorine or baqua - with visible algae growth.

No, it was yellow/brown on the walls and green around the tile/waterline. White mold in the pipes as well. It’s all clear now though!
