Hi,
So I’ve been testing our pool regularly now for a few months and have regular been adding liquid chlorine according to the CH/CYA chart. Most recently, I’ve noticed a spike in PH and so had gotten some muriatic acid to lower the PH. Since then, it seems like Ph has been a little high every time I’ve test/or when we are planning to use it.
Most recently, I’ve added more acid to lower ph to 7.0-7.2 thinking it’ll be on the lower end after a week of non-use. I tested last night and it’s at 7.8 again. Maybe I’m curious, but what is causing the ph to go back up? Is this something that can be stabilized or maybe I’m just missing the fact that it is something that is maintained regularly like chlorine levels?
My TA was testing high at one point at 130 but i think it’s coming down finally. Do I need to bring it down lower?
finally, it seems like CH/CYA test pretty normal each week. Can I forgo these weekly test since I know where they are at?
Ps. Do I have a concrete pool liner? I have no idea. See pics.
thank you!
