Bait & Switch from INYO?

I got Jolene
I got her twice and she was both lovely and very helpful each time. The second time she expidited my refund in an hour after I made some (respectful and polite) noise about their 14 business day refund policy.
 
Countryboy19 You have a lot more patience than me! I received the CMP valve from inyo when I believed I was ordering the Jandy Nerverube.

I was irritated by what I felt like was a bait and switch. I bought a new motor, impeller, diffuser and hi-temp pump unions at the time. I just didn’t feel like fighting with them over the price of the valves and they fact they shipped me a product I didn’t order.

I’ve had several flawless orders with inyo, but all my good experiences feel like the is their new way of business when they snuck in another brand when I clearly ordered the Jandy, at Jandy prices.

Sorry to steal your thread! I just needed to vent. :(

Hello Countryboy19 - We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. I'll try and touch on everything that was mentioned in this thread. The stock of Jandy valves was depleted back in February after the Texas freeze. The lead times that we were being quoted were 8-12 months. The vast majority of our customers couldn't wait that long to get their systems up and running. We found a manufacturer, CMP, that could supply valves much sooner than Jandy. We have sold CMP products for a few years now and their quality is very good. We tried our best to make it clear on the front of the site to let people know that the valve would be a CMP product. We changed the picture, description, and manufacturer name. We could have done better at communicating this to customers who were waiting on backorders.

There are several ways to return a product with us. The simplest way is to log into your account and select the order that you want to return. You could then select the reason it needs to be returned. In your case, you could select "wrong item shipped". We'd then email you a return label and issue a full credit. We would never charge you a restocking fee or expect you to pay for shipping back if you received something other than what you ordered. The second easiest way to initiate the return would be to contact us using LiveChat Monday-Friday 9am-6pm eastern. We don't advertise the phone number because it's not the best customer experience. We have a limited number of people on the phones and the hold times are very long during the peak season. Email is another option but those can get backed up May-July.

Again, we apologize to you for not providing the best experience. We are a small business that is trying to adapt to these crazy times. We take all of these criticisms very seriously and we'll work all off-season to ensure that next summer will be better than the previous.
