I bought what was listed as a Jandy Neverlube valve from INYO pools. The photo on the menu for Jandy valves was as expected but the photo on the product page for my specific valve didn't match Jandy valves. I thought it was just a stock photo of a generic diverter valve; I had used the menu to navigate to it and everything else indicated it was a legit Jandy valve. It was on backorder but I wasn'tin a hurry so I ordered and waited. I finally received it and it is the generic valve pictured, made in China. What is worse is that it's not even a neverlube; it's packed full of grease.
Did I become prey of a bait & switch or false advertising? I feel like I did; I want the real thing. I don't need this valve asap so I can send it back but with my current CS experience with INYO I feel like they're going to try to charge shipping and a restock fee on something that was their fault. Just want to make sure I'm not alone in feeling it was a bait and switch.
