Backfilling behind walls and over pipes

Hi everyone. I am running my plumbing on my diy build. Vinyl liner metal wall pool. I am backfilling completely with clean 57 gravel, except for I was planning to use paver base beneath and a few inches above the pipes to protect them from the sharp edges of the 57. From that top layer of paver base I was planning to finish off with 57 gravel to deck grade. Is this a sound method or am I going to have settling issues with the mixture of the paver base and 57?

That should work perfect..

The one warning would be to bring the fill level and water level up at the same time.. you have pressure from the inside and outside of the pool wall cancelling each other out and your walls will not bend... :)
