AZ Pool Build

Are those cacti hiding cell phone transmitters?

I'm planning (perhaps) palm tree(s) in my future yard for a similar aesthetic, though they would be living.

10/20 update:
Coping is all complete, and Pavers are almost done, should be down with those today. They still need to build the firepit, and face that and the spa with the stacked stone, but they are shooting for the next couple days to be all completed.
Next up is electrical, and hopefully final sign off so we can get some water in this thing.

Pavers are done, and all fencing is complete now. We have some little finishing up with the ledger stone on the Spa and Firepit, and the tile on the bar stools and table.

We're calling for final inspection on the 4th, fingers crossed this fencing passes first go around. I did this myself, and didn't have the PB do it. In my opinion it passes code, but I got a PIA inspector.

We are a week out from adding pebble and filling our pool. We chose Aqua White, but my wife really wants to add a bag of Abalone. It's about $800-$900 to add it. Do you think it will add much "sparkle"? We have a large 6" first step, a 14" baja shelf, and final depth is 8ft.

I heard you mentioned as the Bling Queen, hence the tag.

Thanks.

You rang??? HI and yes I am the BLING QUEEN!

I used to say to get the abalone all of the time but now not so much due to some problems with it down the road. It can "go bad" and turn brown so can end up looking nasty and making it look like your pool is dirty instead of sparkly.

What I suggest now is to add some BLING pebble to your plaster. Ask your PB about adding light blue, dark blue, and clear pebbles to your plaster it bling it up.

Thank you, our PB actually didn't recommend any of the added glass as they have seen it "pop" out in the sun here in AZ, epsecially since we drain our pools, sometimes once a year due to CH.

Then keep an eye on your CH and be prepared to drain and refill periodically. Watch the CSI closely too.
Will do, I have a couple friends out here, 1 does his pool every year, one does half his pool every year, then a full drain every other, 1 hasn't done it yet.
So I'll be keeping an eye on ours, and when we finally recover, we'll add a water softner. I want one regardless for my cars.

Water softeners are cheap. Plumb to your autofill now.

Water on your side is pretty expensive.

Pre-plaster inspection complete. Pool builder has a punch list, and they are saying pebble and start filling this week.
Got the ledger stone installed, we're not totally happy with the color, but when we wet it, it's outstanding, so we're planning on applying some color enhancer to it. Also installed my Corten raised flowerbedResized_20241105_063714_1730817570567.jpegResized_20241105_063748_1730817570096.jpegResized_20241105_063818_1730817565121.jpegResized_20241105_063827_1730817564857.jpegResized_20241105_063847_1730817564116.jpegs installed.
