When I bought my house less than a year ago, the autofill was working perfectly, but now every time I activate the autofill, the sprinklers stay on and won't turn off. I can't keep the autofill on because of this issue. What can I do to fix it?

Also, when I connect my vacuum, there's no suction, and it doesn't move. It only spins a little every now and then. I've checked the O-ring on the pump, and it's fine. There's no debris in the pump, the filters are clean, and the hose has no cracks. What else should I check?

That sounds like the problem is in the irrigation system. In Arizona, usually the outside water (both irrigation and pool filler) are on the same shut off. They both use a single backflow valve. There is an irrigation control panel on the side of the house. Your problem is either there or a stuck valve in the underground box near the backflow valve.
