Water is clean and clear thanks to all the knowledge I learned in this site. I am a new inground pool owner. Now that everything is rolling good again I had a question. How long can the autocover stay on the pool before it needs to be opened to not ruin the water. I’ve learned the pool needs to breath and off gas contaminates so they don’t build back up in the pool water. I ask because we as a family go on summer vacations. Can I leave it covered 3 straight days 5,10 etc??? Just want more information if I should have a neighbor open while I’m gone. Thanks ahead of time.

I don't know whether a pool truly needs to "breathe" or not. I've left my auto-cover closed for as long as a week with no observable ill effects.
