My auto cover was just installed and something is not right. From the pictures you can see to cover doesn't retract enough. We have lost nearly 5 inches of pool/sunshelf space with the cover. The installer said it was installed correctly and cannot retract any more and blamed it on the PB saying the cover well wasn't done properly. To me, the way this looks is not acceptable. I would appreciate any and all insight.IMG_2527.jpgIMG_2526.jpgIMG_2525.jpg

What model autocover do you have?

What are the dimensions of your cover well?

This is a pic for what look looks like a similar cover...

Yours is how I expected the install to look. The model is Coverstar Eclipse, the well is 17" deep (after they had to jackhammer down 4 inches) 14" wide and 18' 10" long. My pool is supposed to be 16' wide but I just measured and it is really only 15' 9" but the cover is 16' 3" wide. There is also a hugely suspicious amount of hardware bags (screws and stuff) left unopened.

Your pool cover installer inverted the leading edge bar for a hidden leading edge installation. If he turns it back to the "up" position, it will come back all the way. Right now it is hitting the bond beam.
