Attaching water slide to above ground pool filter

I just recently purchased a used water slide and was wanting to attach the water feed directly to my sand filter so that the water will recirculate. Today I noticed that my filter outlet has a little hose attachment on it and I was wondering if this could be used to attach my waterslide? I am assuming that it will need to be drilled out and some sort of ball valve attached inline. I have done quite a bit of searching and cannot find anything regarding this little hose attachment. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TFP.

You can’t drill that out and connect a valve to it without something leaking.

You need to put a T fitting in-line then a ball valve and the line to your slide.
