Aquaview Filter leak

What are my options with this? The filter is 5 years old and I've never really done anything with it. It is a 0-1709-024 (Doughboy part). My pump has some noisy bearings which I've not replaced yet. Would this be a good time to just replace the whole assembly?

Discontinue its use right now and replace it.

Filters are pressure vessels. A compromised pressure vessel is very dangerous.

I don't mind just getting new sand. For that price, I should be able to get it done and do it myself.

Actually I just ordered a Hayward 24" and I'm probably re-use my sand. That saves me 300 dollars from going the "warranty" route.
