I have an aquatherm at150 just out of warrenty and it appears the temp sensor is bad. Does this take standard 10k thermistor. Looks like I can get one for 10 bucks on Amazon…. Pinch a penny wants $60
I do not have a parts manual. The sensor looks like this. This also seems to be the standard for temp sensors for smart pools or electric pool heaters.
I’m going to measure it tomorrow. Should I just be looking to insure that the OHM reading matches the current temp of its environment ? The error code means it’s reading a temp over 110 F which is very wrong.
The old sensor was reading correct to ambient temp with my MM when I removed it from the pipe however it was giving random fluctuating(high) temp readings at the display and once it showed over 110F it tripped the OTA Error code.. Everything is working flawlessly with the new sensor. Total cost was $13
