Aquarite only has power light on, all others off

A few years ago I'd replaced the thermistor. I wicked off the old solder and inserted the leads of the replacement into the PC board and with some difficulty soldered it in place. A few weeks ago I had the power light on but nothing else cited above. Following the troubleshooting chart I narrowed the problem down to the main board. On a hunch I re-soldered the thermistor leads. A cold solder joint had failed. I'd suggest that when replacing the thermistor just cut the leads leaving as much as possible protruding from the board, then crimp and solder the new thermistor to the old leads. Whatever coats the circuit board makes soldering difficult. The crimp and solder method would look ugly, but it would probably make a better connection.
