AquaCal 120ARDSBPR Heater blank display

When trying to start up pool heater it wasn’t kicking on. Display is blank. It is an AquaCal Model #120ARDSBPR. It is controlled by a Pentair Easytouch panel.

I verified I have 240V going to the heater at the contactor inside the heater panel. When I manually push in the contactor the compressor kicks on but nothing else. Looks like I have 24VAC leaving the transformer going to the circuit board, but like I said display remains blank.

Any ideas on what to look at next?

Where is the Aquacal connected to the EasyTouch?

Have you checked that the EasyTouch heater relay is closing when it calls for heat.

Check the control wire between the Aquacal and EasyTouch.

The heater relay is often used to control 24V to the heater control panel.

Where is the Aquacal connected to the EasyTouch?

Have you checked that the EasyTouch heater relay is closing when it calls for heat.

Check the control wire between the Aquacal and EasyTouch.

The heater relay is often used to control 24V to the heater control panel.

Only thing that comes from the easytouch panel is a 4 wire comms wire and the main power wire which come directly from a breaker in the panel.

The comms wire only has 2 of the wires landed on each end. There is no relay tied to the heat pump.
