Aquabot & intex pool

I have a 18x52 round intex pool and a pump / sand filter attach to it.
I was wondering if any one has had problems with the Hayward aquabot suction cleaner? Mine just sets their and barely moves, or am I doing something wrong?

For my aquabot it means filters need cleaned. At times I need to clean hair etc from wheels. A few years ago I did have to take body apart to remove debris wrapped around a spindle. They are fairly simple so not much else I can think of.
