Anyone Tried a Smart Monitoring System?

Has anyone tried one of those smart monitoring systems that continuously tests for FC and PH, giving you the reading on a phone app? Reliable? Worth the investment?
You can take a look through some threads on them. Generally not reliable seems to be the overarching theme.

My WaterGuru seems to be just a little lower (1-2 ppm) on FC than my Taylor and the pH is within 0.2 or so. So far, so good. I wouldn’t use it instead of the Taylor, but just as a daily thing while I check less frequently with the kit.

We're starting to go on more and more long trips. This might be a good solution to ensure the SWG is doing its thing and that pH isn't going crazy. We have family nearby who can come by if anything needs to be done, but they are in the busy career and little kid stage of life, so I would rather not ask them if it's not necessary.
I generally get the pH on the low side and run the SWG a little hot, and we come home to a pretty pool with pH on the high side. But it would be nice to see the numbers remotely.

Effects of pH being out of whack take far longer to occur than the duration of your trip. I wouldn't worry about it - if pH has crept up, just lower with MA. Getting control of pH is less about the SWCG and more about finding the pools' happy place in regards to TA. Once TA is stable, pH movement really dies down.
