Anyone recognize this gunk?

Hi everyone. I added CYA and chlorine to my pool this morning. Later in the day after grilling I noticed this film over the skimmer. The rest of the pool is clear.

Does anyone know what this might be?

Pool essentials liquid chlorine. I have the CYA in a sock over the pool return.

Swimming...yes. No sunscreen but yes to hair products.

Most likely it. See it as a scum line at the pool waterline, in the skimmer, etc.

Thanks for your help! Should I clean it myself or do I let the filter handle it?

What you see there will either get oxidized by the chlorine and/or end up as scum on the pool surfaces. Some might get to the filter. But with a sand filter, no issues with that.
