Anyone have Hayward Ominhub?

I have an SP3203VSP pump that I want to add wireless control capabilities. I can't find find how to purchase the individual component. From what I gather, to only control the pump, I only need the base unit and the control pad if all I need is to control my pump. I don't need to control heat or anything else.

I was thinking if I purchased only the controller display and the base unit control board, that's all I would need and not have to buy the whole kit saving about $1000 the control board can go in my own weather proof box with the rest of my automation.
 
 
That is an old thread prior to OmniPL and OmniHub.

Omnihub is the right option for Dan.

I spoke to Hayward a few days ago and they said this pump can't be controlled by any 3rd party and the Omnihub is pretty much my only option. I've been reading the installation manual and it seems the controlboard is mainly a distribution center for the relays. I wonder if it serves any purpose with sending the RS485 signal to the pump. The WiFi and Ethernet is likely built onto the wall mount controller and the pins are identical to the onboard display/control of the pump. the color and sequence is just different. Wall mount display is Black, Red, White, Green and the pump display is Grteen, black, yellow, red

I wonder if simply connecting the wallmount controller directly to the pump would serve the same purpose.

The board on its own is only $200 not a big deal if it's a required component and the wallmount controller is about $400. I already have an enclosure at the pool with 110v that the board can be mounted to. This is much cheaper than buying the whole kit a bunch of accessories that I won't be using.

You can buy components one at a time beginning with the display and see what it takes to get it working.

I doubt the controller will work standalone connected to the pump. While the controller has the display and WiFi components it does not have a CPU that can run the Omnilogic software without the main board.

You need to be able to control the pump from the OmniHub display if you lose WiFi connection for any reason.

You know that the pump cannot have both its internal control panel and the OmniHub connected to it at the same time? When you connect the OmniHub you must disconnect the pump control panel. The OmniHub panel becomes the pump control panel by the pump.

That's what I'm curious about if the Omni is built into the "smart" wall display and that the CPU is within the display while the circuit board resides only the relays and act is a distribution center. Looking at the circuit board I can't see any obvious sign of a cpu on there. I
