Any vendors with in stock pools?

My cat goes crazy when we bring mint into the house.... I think its in the catnip family or something? So while those plastic bags may keep the rodents away, I wonder how the feral cat population feels about 'em? <meow! 😻>

We had been looking all summer for an Intex 12x24x52 and couldn't find one for less than $4k....then on a whim I checked amazon and In The Swim had it for the *normal* retail price - I bought it on the spot...I think I got one of a handful they had. Got it late in the season but at least we lucked out. I just checked again and it's back up in the 5k range....ridiculous....

Out of curiosity, what was the 'normal' price that you paid...if ya don't mind sayin'? I was checking a few sites fairly regularly then quit for a while. Looks like I missed that window. Oh well. There's always another out there. Given the enormous price-gouging going on, I'm not in a hurry to be taken advantage of.

Ha, I misread your thread title, I thought you were asking "Any vendors with stock in pools?" as if you were looking to invest. I'm all, huh, might be a good time to buy some pool manufacturer stock.... oh.... "in-stock." 🤭 Still...

When we started looking last year the pool we wanted was around $1249 or so for the size we wanted, with a sandfilter pump, cover, ladder. So pretty basic kit. We ended up paying $1299 for it so the $50.00 difference wasn't too terrible. Intex actually had the same kit in stock on their site when I bought ours listed for $1399 so I think we did ok. It's the 4k - 5k prices for these pools that floor me...

Agreed. I remember we went to Walmart one day several months ago. There was a pool there, like $300 and a lady seemed excited to be buying it. I didn't really think much of it at the time as we weren't really looking too much then. I've seen the exact same pool go for upwards of $1800 on Amazon. In fact, I just found it on there now...$1197. No thanks.

Yep. Since the season is all but over the prices have dropped substantially but the 12x24 XTR package I have is still $1698 which is about 500 too much still IMO. I feel lucky we were able to get it, get it up, and a couple weeks of use out of it. Now I'm doing some maintenance on the area around the pool ahead of closing it out for the winter. (Yes, I'll be leaving it up)
