So we recently had our pool resurfaced, and part of that was to knock out a spa and put in some new steps as well as knocking out some old steps and putting in a tanning ledge. Not thinking about it ahead of time, a significant portion of the pool wall is now forms a tight right angle with the floor, as opposed to a reasonable radius for my Polaris 3900 to climb and turn. Now, it pretty much rams the wall and stands still until the backup valve cycles on.
I found the thread about modding the backup valve to cycle more often, which is certainly an option. However, one other idea I had was to attach some sort of wheeled skid plate to the front of the Polaris- not unlike a pair of tusks
Anyone ever run into this problem?
Thanks!
