Another year old Microbrite bites the dust

So...

Exactly after one year since I replaced a dead Globrite, my Microbrite is dead.

I bought it from Polytec Pools. Not sure if it has any kind of warranty and whether I should even bother calling them.

What a mess.

Presumably a Microbrite has a two year warranty. Not sure if they will honor it since I replaced it myself.

The Microbrite turned out to be even worse than the "old" Globrite qualitywise. I got three ears from the Globrite vs. one year from the Microbrite.

Added:
The Pentair does not have any online ability to receive a warranty claim, it seems. Does anyone have experience with filing warranty claims with them ?

Thanks !

You first have to register the product online with attached proof of purchase and installation. Then you can make warranty claims online.

After some back and forth, Pentair sent me a replacement Microbrite. The previous one, a replacement for a Globrite, lasted 11 months. We'll see how long this one survives.
So far, the history is as follows:

1. Two Globrites installed in 2020
2. One Globrite dies in 2022. Replaced by the pool company with a Globrite
3. The other Globrite dies in August 2023. Replaced by me with a Microbrite and a adapter
4. The Microbrite dies in July 2024. Replaced with a Microbrite in September 2024 under 1 year warranty.

The remaining (previously replaced) Globrite already shows some small yellowish lens discoloration (due to heat ?). Not sure how long this one lasts.

What a mess.

There's this $20 thing on Amazon some people apparently had success with. Perhaps, I'll try it when my Globrite or Microbrite die next time.

Is that $20 thing on Amazon listed and approved by the NEC?
