Another pool north of Dallas

Are you using Premier Grilling? We absolutely loved working with them (the Frisco office....don't know anything about Plano).

SKC - We did make a run over there, really nice guys but decided to use the contractor that installed our patio cover - ordered the grill from Grillsdirect.com.

Was the leak ever fixed?

Casey, thanks for asking. They came out and pulled the coping off over one scupper and worked on it. But it's been raining since then so we will have to wait for things to dry out to know for sure.

Not good at all! Have you made full and final payment?

Yes they have their money. So at this point, I have to rely on their reputation to work through this. I guess on the bright side, it's too cold to swim and none of the nurseries have any plants so I can't work on the landscaping yet so now is the best time to fix it. That being said, the super is scheduled to come out today or tomorrow and a phone call to the owner will be made. It's time to take the wall down and get this taken care of.

Another fly in the ointment - I went out this morning and the water level in the spa was about an inch below the tile line. It was half way up the tile at 5:30 pm yesterday when I was skimming the pool. We did not run the water features and haven't even used the spa yet. Called Mr. PB and sent him a photo. He's still checking on the leak in the wall - I'm wondering if Moe, Curly and Larry were the plumbers on this job. I'm thinking it's about time to send an email to the owner to discuss my issues.

You are not alone. We also have a leak in our pool. It has had water in it for almost a month. Been trying to get them to come back to do a pressure test of the lines. Very frustrating indeed. PB has also been paid in full. I wonder if we have the same PB?

Sweet! I ordered the grill for the outdoor kitchen and it was delivered yesterday. Today I get an email with a President's day sale, everything 10% off, just my luck! I called them and they credited my account!

I also found the purple diamond loropetalum for behind the pool wall today, I'm reluctant to plant them though until we get resolution on the leak but they will be perfect.

Ok so I know you all have to be tired of hearing about the leak in the scupper wall but I don't know what else to do. Mr. PB sent the stone guy out to check today, he waited until 1pm to show up and the scuppers had not been on since 5pm yesterday, so of course, the sun being on it for 5 or 6 hours has dried most of it up - he says he doesn't see anything that looks like it's leaking. He dug around at the base near the dirt and says if it's a pipe the ground would be wet, then tells me it's the sprinklers. He was surprised and annoyed when I told him the sprinklers have been turned off since this started weeks ago, to confirm that it was the wall leaking. I show him the photos - one for every morning since this started and he shrugs and says he'll send someone out to pull the coping off to check. Here's this mornings photo - any ideas?

Stay on them. Have them remove all of the coping on that top wall to observe what happens when running the scuppers.

Very unusual from the looks of it as the water spots seem to be all over the back wall and it would be weird for the elbows on all 3 scuppers to fail at same time

I'm interested to see what they find.

So no one came out today as promised. Just sent a text to Mr. PB he contacted the stone guy who has indicated that he will reseal the inside but he's not doing anything else and can't do anything about the wet areas on the back side - Seriously? I am livid! So much for quality building and maintaining a good reputation.

send your pool builder the link to this thread. Let him know lots of potential customers are watching. Unfortunately, most of these builders consider their customers an after thought once they've been paid.

Just keep the pressure on him.

Mia- Superintendent has been out here multiple times and seen it, actually taken photos himself. He sent me a text a little while ago after I went on a rant and said he's gotten the owner involved and they will fix it, the owner will give the stone guy a second chance to do it correctly and if he makes the wrong decision someone else will fix it. So I feel better, just irks me that this happens when you spend so much money. I know they are a reputable builder and I just have to be patient.
