Another in Texas - Cypress

Nice! Neat steps from the sun shelf. I can't remember, Is this a sport pool? Do you.mean like in B how there is a bench near the loungers on the left of the pool and bench in front of the firepit. I like those.

Okay, so the design is close enough to what we want that they're working on the bid. Hopefully we'll get it soon!

The bench along the back wall should go around the corner to match how it does on the table end but she didn't do that here.

Yes, it's a sport pool. This design still isn't quite there. We're meeting with PB-A tomorrow morning and I'm going to see if they can get it closer and then have all three bidding on the same thing.

It's looking good!! I will add my $0.02 since everyone else has!!!

I like the idea of the table but have you thought about trying to move it closer to the front of the pool? Here is why I am am asking this. When someone is sitting there I assume food or beverage will be involved. From a simple ease of off access perspective since the outdoor kitchen is right by the pool, what if you swapped the spa and the fire pit area and moved the table closer to the kitchen? That also moves the noise of the spa further away from the kitchen seating area.

Honestly though, the design is beautiful as-is and I don't think you can make a wrong choice at this point with any of them!!!

plat.

Hmm... That's not a bad idea. I like it too because you'd be able to see the features better from the house than in the current design. But then where would the sun shelf go? One idea was to have to sun shelf and spa as a play area for the kids with the table a little away for adults to potentially enjoy a cocktail or a conversation away from the "kiddie pool" splash zone.

Hmm...

I think this is IT, in all its beautiful glory!

Met the owner at PB-A today and when I showed them my long list of questions he pulled up a chair and went through them. He's a no nonsense kind of guy but we liked him.

My question list: What I've learned from TFP... So far...
What I've learned from TFP... So far...

I'll post some of his answers to the questions I asked later but one thing I liked was that when he didn't agree with something he'd say he'd do it if I wanted it, but here is why he didn't think we should... I liked that he explained his perspective but also said he'd still do it my way.

Anyway, what do ya'll think??

I think you should carefully consider the opinions of experienced designers. That said, I love the fire pit as it is positioned now -- hope that wasn't something s/he didn't recommend against, LOL. Its gonna be expensive...

It's gorgeous!! My PB told me the same thing- there were things I wanted and he told me NO then smiled and said he'd do it, but he thinks I'd like it better like Xxx. I went with his ideas. Very glad I did!

PB-C still hasn't given us a price. PB-A said they'd have our revisions and everything spec'd by Monday or Tuesday with the updated bid. We did decide though that if PB-A can get it in our budget, we'll choose them. [emoji1317][emoji1317] Monday or Tuesday can't come fast enough!!

Looks good. So PB A is in your budget? They were one of our top choices also, but we went with another builder based on price

Ish... I'm hoping we can manage to get it there anyway. They are definitely not the cheapest! We'll be sacrificing some of what we wanted on the interior work we're doing in the house to choose them, so it's a trade off. Do you mind PMing me with who you chose? Where in Cypress are you?

I love it! What a beautiful pool this will be! You should be proud of yourself :)
Now... Just asking... Is there a reason why you chose to place the pool directly on the side of the house instead of more in that corner? Again I was thinking from stepping out of the house and having this full view of your magnificent pool :) maybe having some of your playground on that upper side with some grass? Just to balance the lot? I don't know what I'm saying here... You've probably thought of everything already :) I don't know what rooms are on that far side of the house and if it would make sense. I was just thinking...
