Hey all,
I'm new here (already done an intro in that section). I have a Dolphin Active 20 that I'm having problems with. This is the start of the third season we've had our pool, and this is the model that the builder gave us when it was finished. I've done some research and talked with someone who works on them. First thing I did was check the readings on the cord and power box. This all seamed fine. Next I opened it up and found the motor unit assembly to be flooded (one of the tabs had broken). I bought a new motor assembly and installed it. It ran one time. Now it will run for 10-15 seconds and shut off. From what I've read, this is it running a self diagnostic test and failing. I've checked all the gears and the fan. they all seem to be working fine. If I run it outside the pool upside down, it runs for a bit longer, then shuts off. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Did I get a bad motor out of the box?
