Another Brisbane person and a Clear Choice Labs worker bee!

Hello from sunny Brisbane, Australia.
I'm Brett, and I have a pool testing problem. Namely I really like testing pools and watching all the cool chemical colour changes Seriously, give me a speed stirrer and a solution that changes colours and I'm entertained for hours.
I have been faithfully attending Pool School and brushing up on my pool knowledge, there's a lot to learn in every thread in this forum too! I've gone from "knowing about pool care" to now I'm even looking over the fence at our neighbours pool and guessing at what their levels are like. I have been trying to come up with a subtle way of dropping this forums address into their mailbox...


I'm also the Clear Choice Labs worker bee/tube monkey. Nicole is the brains of the operation and I like to think of myself as the beauty. No one else does LOL Nic's a good friend of mine who used that friendship to sucker me into shipping a couple of kits and now I'm totally hooked on the TFPC pool chemistry and the wonders of science. I'm now helping her run the business and I'm doing the hard jobs like playing with the speed stirrer and asking her if I get to wear a lab coat. I've put CCL in my username so there's no confusion if I talk about our kits, or how hard it is to find a good hydrometer I've read the guidelines on industry types so I'm up to speed on that :study:

Anyway thanks for building and keeping up such a great forum and pool care resource for us beginner chemistry students

Well hello there! Glad to have you here at TFP! It really is quite amazing how well some simple products like bleach and baking soda work in a pool LOVE IT and so does my wallet!

You will learn SO much from just reading the threads. Even if you do not have that problem at that moment it is still good to know what works if/when you do.

Could you please fill in your signature? Settings (upper right), edit signature (middle left).

Please put the following information in your signature.

- The size of your pool in gallons
- If your pool is an AG (above ground) or IG (in ground)
- If it's IG, tell us if it's vinyl, plaster/pebble, or fiberglass
- The type of filter you have (sand, DE, cartridge) and, if you know, the brand and model of the filter.
- If you know, please tell us the brand and model of the pump, and mention if is it a two speed or variable speed pump.
- Date of pool build/install, particularly important if less then a year old.
- What kind/model of water test kit you are using
- Other significant accessories or options, such as a spa , SWG, or cleaner
- Please mention if you fill the pool from a well or are currently on water restrictions

I've updated my signature with my pool details, there's a heatwave around my area this weekend so the pool will be getting a workout. Not too bad here but the areas around us are getting up to 40 celsius (104F+) this weekend! We'll only be in the mid 30's..
