Algae? Treatment?

What type of algae spots are these? And what do we do about them?

They have been around since mid June - about a week after our Polaris Quattro P40 went in for repair. We have missed that little guy!! Spots do not go away with brushing and I am adding chlorine (power powder plus) and muriatic acid almost daily. Brushing every 2 days or so. Pool water is mostly clear. Pool temp is hot because we are full sun in Central Texas. We have Wet Edge for our finish.

I did do the finger nail scrape and it is green. This is today's water test.

Thank you!!

Welcome to TFP.

If Leslie's test is to be believed (uncertain), you have near zero chlorine in your pool, hence algae. Go buy several gallons of liquid chlorine now and get some in your pool. Without knowing the volume of your pool, it's hard to say how much to add each day.Stay off the powder chlorine.

You need a good test kit of your own and stop taking your samples to Leslie's.
Test Kits Compared

Once you have your own kit, post a full set of YOUR test results here. You will likely need to perform the SLAM process to clear your algae.
