Algae on Walls of In ground Pool

Hi All, I have a gunite pool - little algae on the floor of the pool, but most of it is on the walls. How do I get rid of the algae on the walls? Brush and then shock? Shock then brush? Vacuum it?

I assume you have the test kit you were getting last year? Post up a full set of test results. You need to SLAM Process

Hope to get the testing done Wednesday. I work long hours during the week.

I guess the better question is - does algae get vacuumed up or does it go away with chemicals?

You kill the algae and filter it out. Read the article I linked to. It is a process. Can take several days to several weeks until pool is clear. Regular, at least twice but better several times a day, you test FC and add liquid chlorine. Level of FC depends on your CYA level.
