Algae hide outs

Found algae behind pool light during SLAM. Also under the ladder steps. Is there any way to fill the void behind the light to keep algae from hiding here? If I had my way I'd have no pool light or ladder.

Afraid not. By design many light fixtures need the water behind the bulb in the niche to help keep it cool when on. Just one of those areas that needs a little TLC once a year or so.

Gotta design a light that shines UV light on the backside, into the niche.
