Aiper Seagull Vacuum drops debris back in on exit

Any one else have issues with debris going back in the pool when lifting these out?
I like the vacuum. Seems to work well. But when lifting it out, the water that comes out has debris in it.
Its only on its second season and has been doing this since day one, so I can rule out wear and tear
