Aiper Seagull SE

So just an update. For the 3rd and final time the SE broke again. It works for about 2 minutes then stops. It’s more than a year old, so I filed a claim with the credit card company.

Overall pretty disappointed with the longevity of this one. When it worked it was not bad, but not great.

Following up on the SE to close things out...
My first one lasted from January 2023 to May 2023 before I had to make a warranty claim due to water intrusion into the battery (red and blue flashing lights). It took a few weeks, but Aiper sent me a replacement unit that worked for a year and a few months before finally dying. No idea what it is this time - it's just dead with no indication lights at all and it didn't give me any warning signs that anything was wrong. I used it early last week and when I went to check it yesterday it was just dead.

Timely death, as I just received my Pentair Prowler 920 last Thursday (on sale on Amazon for $640 with free shipping and was on my doorstep 24 hours after ordering). I ran it with the pleated filters and it's amazing how much fine pollen and dust was in the bottom of my "clean" pool.

As it stands, my experiment with a cheap rechargeable pool cleaner is over. I'm chalking it up to a failure as the average lifespan of the two units was less than a year and while they performed okay, spending $200(+) every year doesn't justify the cordless convenience.
