Hi! First time posting so hopefully doing this correctly. Last night there was a big storm - while checking a few things I noticed there was no display on Intelliflow VSF pump -wouldn't turn on - I checked the breakers ( it was tripped) reset it - still nothing. I have an outlet on panel and that has electricity. Any suggestions? Thanks!

First thing to try is remove power for about 5 minutes, trip the breaker off. Then restore. It may reset the drive. If not, a power surge may have damaged it.
Be sure to feel both sides of the breaker snap off. Even if the storm caused it to trip, it may have only been one side that actually stopped power to the pump.
So had a pool company look - they said it is shorted out - it is barely 4 yrs old 
Then to make matters worse they said all pentair parts are on backorder until 2024 and the only pump for my size is a Hayward 950. Ive never heard great things about Hayward - any suggestions? Please advise. Also, how long can a pool sit without circulation? I just put a chlorinator floatie with tabs - will try to pick up liquid chlorine. Thank you for any help!

You would have to do some plumbing changes, I believe.
so you think try to go with a different pump than hayward 950- try pentair whisperflow? and if I would I'd have to do plumbing changes? How long can a pool sit without a pump circulating 19,200?

You need to add chlorine and mix. Brush, sump pump, something.
Up to you on the pump. You will definitely have to change plumbing for Hayward pump. Not sure on Whisperflo VS. I think it might fit without change. Call Polytec.

I believe the Whisperflo VST has the same wet end as the Intelliflo, so plumbing shouldn't need to change. Also the old motor does have value if it's still working, they're about $600 new. Likely your drive kit was the part that was damaged during the storm but those are OOS at the moment too.
EDIT: If you don't already have unions on your pump, add these unions when you replace your pump to make replacement easier going forward.

Thank you so much for the info Im hoping by this week to get the intelliflo through a company - but - if that does not come thru this sounds like a good option! Thanks for your time!
