I am done slamming. I have showed no loss of FC after 36 hours of keeping it at 32 for an 80 cya. I can't read any other chemicals at this point. What do I do now? I can't read anything else because the chlorine is so high. My cya has gone down to 70 because of vacuuming to waste and replenishing. But the cya is the only thing I can get a reading on as you know. Do I just let the chlorine burn off. And at what stage of FC do I start testing other chemicals. Thanks

This is where I am at after slamming milky blue. Which is surely better than the green. Just let it burn off at this point?
You are not done with SLAM. Keep going. Re-read the criteria to stop the SLAM. Link-->SLAM Process

The pool needs to look like this at the end of the SLAM....Link-->How Clear is TFP Clear?

Thank you. But what I meant is that the overnight test is positive and I do not have to add any more chlorine. So at this point I believe I should just let it sit and burn off the Milky blue color till it is clear. Is that correct?. Once it is clear then I am done the slam. I think that is what you mean by when it is done. Is that correct?

No, continue to maintain SLAM level FC until all three are true.

  1. OCLT is a pass.
  2. CC <=.5 AND
  3. Pool is stupid clear.
Continue to maintain SLAM level FC until the pool is clear.

I am really not clear on this. Sorry. Although I've met one and two of the criteria are you saying that I need to maintain 32 FC until the pool will clear ? Well the pool really get clear with FC that high won't it stay cloudy . I am using liquid chlorine . If so how often should I keep checking the FC

Okay thank you will do will keep it at 32 and check every 2 to 3 hours. Although the sun should start to defeat some of the chlorine I should keep it at 32 correct? Now I need to go to work tomorrow I'm not going to be able to check it every 2 to 3 hours. Any suggestions?

Check every 2 hours today. Check every 2 hours when you can when home...even late into the night. Sun is what the sun is.
As my cya has dropped should I use the chart according to that cya or according to what I started with?
Yes. Use current CYA
