With my pH sitting around 7.2 and my TA about 120, I’m trying to aerate my water to help that pH rise a bit. I have my return jet stream breaching the water surface a bit breaking things up. How much of a result can I expect from this? Is this a days and days of this for a little bit? How much aeration will typically yield a .1 increase?

If out of equilibrium, PH will rise on it's own without any aeration. Aeration just speeds up the process. As to the type of aeration and the speed of PH rise, there are a LOT of variables and so it would be very difficult to come up with any useful relationship.

But what is the hurry?

No hurry. Just learning. If anything, just the concern that it slips lower than 7.2. Trying to avoid adding pH up. Would rather let things work themselves out naturally.

Based upon your pool logs it doesn't look like you are adding any acid.

Are you using any tablets?

Is your fill and/or rain acidic?

I’m not using any tabs. Only liquid.

My tap water is right at 7.2. Rain I haven’t determined.
Given that, I doubt PH will drop much below 7.2 especially with a TA of 130 and that is within the safe range for heaters so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

However, if you see PH drop much below 7.2 you can use borax to raise it or try aeration which may or may not work.
