Aerate to bring PH up

I had a TA of 100 & PH always drifting upward so I lowered my PH to 7.2 with MA and now I turned both my returns upwards to bring the PH back up though my returns don’t really break through the water you can just sort of tell the water is being pushed upward kind of like a slow boil but no bubbles breaking through the surface. Is it necessary that there be a break through/splash affect?

Surface disturbance will aerate.
No need to push it. When the pH rises back to the upper 7's, lower it again. TA will drop over time.

The more agitation the better, however if your TA is responsible for a quick rise in pH, don't worry about it. I suspect the pH will rise soon enough on its own before you hit it with acid again.

So As you mentioned my PH rose on its own. My TA is now 90. Though why does by PH like to swing up towards 8.2? I mean it took a week from when I dropped it to 7.2 to get that high, but I’m maybe averaging every 4-5 days having to lower it to 7.5 from 8.2 is that uncommon?

Pools can be funny that way, even by season. All we can do is test and manage it. For some reason this year I'm adding acid every 2-3 days. But you still have room for the TA to come down to about 60, maybe even 50 if it helps.
