Any suggestions on how to add dry stabilizer to above ground pool with no skimmer? Is the sock method the best?

When pre-soaking the sock in the pool, be sure to have it extended out a bit so it doesn't rest against the vinyl.
Thank you I tied it in front of the discharge from the pump with 1.75lbs of stabilizer in it and it's almost completely dissolved. Pool is cloudy now but pump pressure didn't increase so I think all is well.
